| One of my favourite artists is Bruno Bruni, the Italian of Hamburg. When arguing about art I am on the artist’s side who is becoming 70 years old in 2005. His sculptures, his lithographies and his light pillars are showing nature that became art or should one say natural art made into artefacts by man….? Bruni is an excellent master of that and yet showing so many human elements in his artefacts.
Bruno Bruni: Born in 1935 in Gradara near Pesaro not far away from Rimini. The artist is living in Hamburg for more than 40 years now. He studied at the Academy for Fine Arts with the famous painter and graphic artist Georg Gresko. The artists Rudolf Hausner and Horst Janssen were among the friends of Bruni.
Bruno Bruni internationally has made himself a name since the 1970s as a drawer, painter, sculptor and lithograph. In 1977 he received the International Senefelder Award for Lithography. Today Bruno Bruni is said to be internationally the most well-known Italian artist of Germany.
Bruno Bruno lives in Altona in a rebuilt swimming bath.
