| A scientist who has the intention to become really top-notch in his branch of science and who wants to not only understand connections but also look through them does not have to wear blinders.
The main fields in my research are the biology of venomous animals, varans, spiders and lizards. It goes by itself that I have to deal with the animals of prey of these prey hunters, their food, their habitat, their enemies and their diseases and so on to really explore these fixed points. In doing this one is constantly confronted with new and interesting questions. I cannot deal with all these topics but I do not close my eyes to new discoveries, as many fellow scientists do again and again. In this section I would like to show you an outline of research projects I am running or am involved in, some of them since my young days.
And please note that what today is being brought down on paper as research results tomorrow is state of technology or even improved or replaced by new discoveries.
