Even at the early age of 12 I had to deal with fodder plants for butterfly caterpillars and some kinds mantises and later for beetle larvae. As I constantly came across interesting plants on my excursions and expeditions they began to fascinate me in a certain way so that today I can call extensive cultures and collections my own.
