„Science is the mind of the
world, art is its soul“
Maxim Gorkij

Early at the age of 5 years I began to get interested in animals more and more. In the beginning I was the owner of several turtles, some of them still are alive. Later, at the age of 8 years, I also had arthropods, like spiders, scorpions and several locusts, cockroaches and mantises in my focus. After I was able to obtain my first bird spider, a Haitian bird spider (phormictopus cancerides), at the age of 11 which is still alive today (April 2005), I found more and more my feet in my present work. And though any kind of animal and species are worth being studied I concentrated on the above mentioned main fields.
